DeRozan close to return

Toronto Raptors G/F DeMar DeRozan participated in a full team practice New Years Eve for the first time since severely tearing his groin a little over a month ago. Recently DeRozan spoke of the frustration of not playing alongside of his teammates.
“It’s just tough for me to sit out there. I’ve never been hurt … My competitive mindset is I want to be out there so bad, it’s frustrating already with the frustration I have being injured. It’s just kind of tough so that’s why a lot of times I sit in the back, get treatment on it, try to just watch from the back.
It’s nothing selfish or anything like that, it’s just tough for me.”
“We could be losing and I would be back there trying to fight the hurry up to get back because I feel like my team needs me,” DeRozan said. “That hasn’t been the case at all since I’ve been out. It makes it that much easier for me to go to sleep at night and get my rest and do my rehab so I can get back to 100%.”
