Knicks' Anthony to waive no trade clause....Updated

Reports show that New York Knicks F Carmelo Anthony is considering waiving his no trade clause which is a bit of a rarity in sports. Anthony signed a 5 year, $124 million contract this off season and has no intention of leaving the franchise at this time. The Knicks are in a state of disarray as an on court scuffle led to a players only meeting this past Saturday.
“He thought things would be better than this, but he still wants to stick it out for now, ’’ a source said told the NY Post. “He trusts Phil, but I think he’s afraid of Phil.’’

“Carmelo, as always, is committed to the Knicks. There have never been discussions about trades or wanting to leave New York. Any story, rumor, report to the contrary is utter nonsense.”
