Heat applies for DPE

Reports indicate that the Miami Heat have formally applied for the NBA's Disabled Players Exception.  If approved the move will allow the Heat to gain half of F Josh McRoberts salary ($2.65 million) who is thought to be lost for the remainder of the NBA season.  The Heat would like to have the DPE in their possession to make a run at the recently waived Josh Smith.
