Chicago Bulls G Derrick Rose was recently asked if there's any lingering fears after witnessing the horrible leg injury to fellow Team USA teammate Paul George. Rose gave insight into that matter as well as speaking on the potential of the Bulls for the upcoming NBA season.
“No, I have no fears. I have faith,’’ Rose said. “I know that I’m going to be fine. I know that I busted my ass the entire two summers. You can say two seasons to get back to where I am right now. And just try and keep it moving, stay positive every day, do everything consistent like I’ve been doing.’’
“I think we have a solid team. We’re definitely contenders in the East. But we know it’s a long year and we have to jell pretty quickly, knowing that we’re not going overseas like we did at the beginning of the season with Brazil last year. I think we’re going to be here so we get a lot of time here to really go at it in training camp,” Rose said. “I don’t know. I can’t get caught up into that. It’s not about being a favorite team. It’s about winning games, no matter what it takes.”
