Johnson talks NBA return

After spending one season out of the NBA, Ivan Johnson signed with the Dallas Mavericks Tuesday. Johnson recently spoke of the money being better in China which caused him to initially leave the league after spending two seasons with the Atlanta Hawks.
“My choice,” he said. “Most teams were offering me the minimum and at the time, I needed money. I’d just had my second child. I didn’t think the minimum was going to cut it. In order for me to be comfortable, I needed to go overseas. Now I’m comfortable and ready to get back to the grind. I looked at it basically as a six-month practice (in China).”
