New York Knicks G Iman Shumpert hasn't had the best week. Trade rumors involving Shumpert have dominated the NBA news cycle and last evening against the Indiana Pacers he committed a terrible foul at the end of regulation which gave the Pacers new life. Carmelo Anthony was asked after the Knicks loss to the Pacers if he wanted Shumpert to remain in New York as a teammate and Anthony responded with the following:
“I think he is [part of the future],’’ Anthony said. “I hope so. We have a lot of expectations with Iman, especially the way he played tonight. That’s the Iman we need him to be [defensively]. He could take it in a good way. I hope he doesn’t think about it.’’
