Miami Heat F Shane Battier recently celebrated his 35th birthday. While speaking recently, Battier acknowledged that the upcoming NBA season may be his last but the door will always be left open. Battier responded with the following when asked what's his inspiration is when it comes to winning a 3rd consecutive NBA Championship.
"Go out on top, if this is it."
"I'm realistic to where I am at this point in my life," he said. "I'd like to finish my contract strong with the Miami Heat, and then we'll see where we go.....This door is always open......This is not a farewell tour, no. But if it is, it is. And I'll enjoy this year and try to make the most of it."
