Why are the Suns moving Butler?

It's odd that the Phoenix Suns have agreed to trade F Caron Butler after acquiring him 7 weeks ago from the Los Angeles Clippers.  Trading Butler will save the Suns $5.65 million and instead of picking up talent with the extra cap space, the Suns are more than likely using the extra space to soften the blow of the $9 million of salary that they would owe F Michael Beasley if they do indeed to decide to release him before camp begins a little over a month from now.
