The Memphis Grizzlies and Boston Celtics are in early negotiations regarding a trade for C Fab Melo. Melo played in 6 games for the Celtics while spending most of his time in the NBDL last season.
Update: The Boston Celtics have acquired F Donte Greene from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for C Fab Melo and cash considerations.

I almost wish Boston would have given Melo another year to develop, but I also understand the need for another SF. Boston has a lot of bigs on the roster and Melo wouldn't have seen any playing time or credible minutes anyways. We knew he was a project/gamble when we drafted him...
ReplyDeleteThis dude sucks he just looked good in college because of the zone defense played by syracuse and he has no offense
ReplyDeleteYea I never thought melo was that good..but he might devolop into a good shot blocker..boston should have kept him if all they could get is donte green
ReplyDeleteSuper thug
I think melo gonna b OK. All most big men gotta do n today's NBA is run the floor and protect the rim. I think he'll b able to do that for 15-20 mins a night for some team n the future. Boston had to trade him after trading k.g., who else gonna mentor? Maybe z bo and gasol can help him out
ReplyDeleteIts about getting under the luxury tax. Greene doesn't have a gaurnteed contract so they can relesse him...
ReplyDeleteif he had a different name no one would care........
ReplyDelete^^^?????
DeleteWas I da only one who thought melo meant carmelo Anthony?
ReplyDeleteYes
ReplyDeleteHe's got a great chance in Memphis to turn it up. Really learn the position.
