Warriors pushing to sign Howard outright

For days there's been rumors that the Golden State Warriors were putting together a package that they could use as sign and trade bait for the Lakers in order to acquire the services of star free agent Dwight Howard. Reports are now indicating that the Warriors believe more so than ever that they can land Howard and have been aggressive with offering expiring contract league wide in an attempt to clear enough cap space to sign Howard outright.
Didn't see this one coming.
