The 2012-13 Los Angeles Lakers were informed tonight that they will be charged $29,259,739 by the NBA in luxury taxes for exceeding the salary cap which was the highest tax amount for last season. It's already being estimated that the Brooklyn Nets may pay the NBA upwards of $70 million at the end of next season.
- Los Angeles Lakers ($29,259,739)
- Miami Heat ($13,346,242)
- Brooklyn Nets ($12,883,647)
- New York Knicks ($9,962,406)
- Chicago Bulls ($3,932,336)
- Boston Celtics ($1,181,640)
Damn this is surprising to me I thought the heats luxury tax was waaay higher than this we may be able to keep the big 3 together
ReplyDeleteplayers asking for more money while the cap keeps going down

Lebron could ask for 40 mill a year and get it... yes its gonna be interesting to see how the heat resign the big 3....they prolly let bosh go...if they 3 peat they prolly keep wade plus that's lbj boy...they all got 2 more years..on they deal technically right? With the player option next year right?
ReplyDeleteIs melo a outright free agent next summer?
ReplyDeleteYeah he is.. And the lakers going to have the most money next summer to land one of those biggest free agent.. That's why they luxury tax high this year.. Kobe gave about 2-3 years left, so don't be surprise if the lakers land Lebron James next year and Kobe win 2 more rings with him and retire and become the lakers head coach..
