Cleveland Cavaliers G Kyrie Irving is considered by many to be one of the next big stars in the NBA. While attending the Team USA mini camp, Irving spoke of "growing up" in the league and also the "core" that is developing in Cleveland.
"There’s certain things that I had to figure out for myself these last few years, a lot of growing up to do,'' he said. "Now it’s my approach to the game, taking care of my body in the summer, doing the right things as a pro and just learning from the older guys in this league. I’m trying to be a great player and be known as a hard worker and a great player. I have to do the necessary things in order to do that.''
"We have a core here already in Cleveland, but right now it’s about coming together and doing things as a team to propel us over the top,'' Irving said. "What makes good teams great is that camaraderie and brotherhood. That’s what we have to develop.......For me and Dion, him coming in, we just didn’t know each other that well on the court,'' Irving said. "Off the court we’re the best of friends, but on the court we’re trying to figure out how to play off each other. Defenses are focused on me and him and we have to learn how to play with one another. That takes some growing up for the both of us and we’re doing that.''

n my opinion, he should b the number 1 free agent n 2014. young, big shot maker, and plays the no.1 position n bball....still gotta see him play a whole 82 game season
ReplyDeleteNumber 1 over lebron!? That's insane kill yourself
DeleteI think he meant 1 as in point guard. Or at least I hope that. Then again its such a long shot getting lbj or melo maybe they should put all focus on kyrie
DeleteHe goin be some special man
ReplyDeleteDepends if he can learn from lebron and gtfo early. And not waste 8 years of his career with a shitty franchise.
Delete^^^exactly!!! This boy can ball all he's needs to do is get his ass in the weight room...if he gets stronger I'm sure it'll be easier for him to stay healthy...for some reason i just don't see cleveland winning anything
DeleteLebron is going back to cleveland if they make the playoffs this season if not the lakers just know that
ReplyDeletePat Riley is not gonna let lebron go that easily they'll trade bosh before they just let lebron go plus lebron and wade are like brothers but if lebron did happen to leave miami which I don't think he will he'll go to cleveland never the lakers
Deletei may b wrong but real talk, because lb's game is based mostly on athleticism i dont trust him once he gets on the other side of 30. not sayin hes gonna b like d wade but more like shaq once he started to decline. when lb lose them hops and that speed its a rap. i think its gonna b alot of offensive fouls and just ugly, bully bball on offense for him once he get old. id rather have guys who beat u with skill and i.q. like kobe or timmy d. kyrie is made of that mold, he just gotta stay healthy and he will b the next KING....after kobe
ReplyDeleteThe article is not even about lebron and you still find a way to hate on him lebron has a higher skill set than kobe he's a better ball handler and passer than kobe his jumper has improved every year for the past 6 seasons...lebron can do everything kobe does and better might I add only thing kobe does better than lebron is ballhog and shoot free throws...if anything lebrons skills are overshadowed by his athleticism but to say you don't trust lebrons skill is plain stupid
DeleteLebron will be 29 in december and he's still getting better...quit hatin nigga damn
DeleteLol how did kobes iq work this this year?
Deletehigher skillset? u really believe that? when the last time u seen lbj cross somebody up or lose them with a dribbling move? his thing is strength and speed....usually the only time u see him blow by somebody and get to tha rack is when he has a running start or somebody gettin caught on a bad matchup. 1 day hes not going to b able to get to his spots like that anymore is all im sayin. and as far as ive seen the jumpshot comes and goes. im not sayin he dont have skill, but without that athleticism his skillset is damn near average. u right tho will always b a great passer and defender, triple double threat type dude
DeleteKobe shot is the one that comes and goes most of his points come from the free throw line....kobe stat line 29 pts, 5 reb, 1 assts on 9-27 fgs and 11-11 fts....kobe never shoots over 50% from the field he gets bailed out with weak ass calls and get points from the foul line
DeleteLmao thats right on the money there^^^

ReplyDeletepreach ur definitely reaching right now
ReplyDeletewe'll see
DeleteLets see on hand lbj the most effcient olayer in bball the last 5 years, or kobe who has never shot close to 50 percent ever? Even if lebron gets worse he can still shoot 44 percent like kobe. Kobe got two finals mvps and lbj got two. Lbj will have a much better career looking back in ten years
Deletethats lbj's game right? to get others involved and b efficient with his shot right? now n the nba finals when heat fans were screaming shoot that wide open jumpshot lebron! and he was hesitant, why? cause he didnt trust his jumper....yep, very efficient he his.
DeleteWhy did your last line seem like sarcasm? His jumpshot is completely solid, but its not his best offence. So he doesnt settle for it...that IS efficientcy. If he shot every open jumper he had he would be around the kobe average(45%).
DeleteWat up with this tfrank bitch was up with him and LBJ and this other asswipe preanch NBA he all over KB dick... I just got this app and fuck just chill ya sound stupis
ReplyDeleteBitch learn how to spell before you call somebody out lame ass
DeleteLol forreal tho.
