The Brooklyn Nets had a up and down season that eventually saw two coaches getting fired and a subpar performance in the playoffs. G Deron Williams recently spoke of the inconsistent play that the team had to face during the season and also how the Nets can build upon their first season in Brooklyn.
“As a team, I still feel like we can play a lot better and consistency, of course,” Williams said. “I think that is what we’ve been plagued with [all season], and if we can find a way to be consistent, that would put us up there with anybody.
“When we play like we can, when we’re at the top of our game for a consistent amount of time, you know, we’re tough to beat.”
“We definitely want to improve on this season,” Williams said. “With everything we had, with all the injuries we had, with all the stuff in the media going on with losing a coach, we still finished pretty good. We still finished in the fourth spot [in the East].
“We didn’t have the type of postseason we wanted to and hoped to, but that’s definitely fuel for next year.”
