Q: What was your reaction to the fine?

A: What can I do? I mean, it’s tough. It’s unfortunate. I didn’t mean anything bad out of it. It was just the heat of the moment. It’s so emotional during the game. But I know what I was doing. I know I didn’t mean anything bad about it or have any bad intentions. So I can live with myself if I know that. But the league had to do what they had to do, man. It is what it is.

Q: How much were you watching SportsCenter and ESPN and all of those shows today, and did you sort of foresee this coming?

A: I don’t watch ESPN or none of them other shows. So I didn’t really know until I got a call about it. I’m guessing that if they wouldn’t have blew it up then I wouldn’t have got fined. But they don’t know. Like I said, I’m sorry that I had to come to that. Like I said, I didn’t mean anything bad about it. If I offended anybody, I’m sorry for that. I was just going out there and having fun playing the game. So that’s the last time I’ll do that.

Q: You said that somebody had told you about the gesture. Was that someone at Nike, and is this all a part of the whole KD is Not Nice marketing campaign?

A: It was nobody at Nike. Nobody. It was all something I wanted to do. It had nothing to do with it. It was nothing a part of this campaign. It’s something I did, so please don’t put that on anybody else but me. But it’s in the past, move on from it. I hope people don’t get offended by it. I’m still the same person I was yesterday before the game. But, like I said, I won’t do it again.
