Metta World Peace talks Howard

Many have lined up over the years to take shots at Lakers' forward Metta World Peace but no one has ever chided him for not being a great teammate and recently he came to the aid of Dwight Howard and suggested that the league pays no attention to the intentional fouls that Howard receives.
"Dwight gets fouled a lot intentionally. Dwight goes up, they push him in the back," World Peace. "So I'll let you guys do your research from here on out, just monitor how Dwight gets fouled. Is it an intentional foul or not? Because y'all aren’t looking for those things unless it’s brought to your attention.....I'm not complaining. Sometimes he gets hurt. Those are intentional fouls. He's getting hurt. He got hurt when he got pushed in Orlando [last season]. These guys are coming down on his back. He had to get surgery as a result of that. And he missed games. He's not complaining. He's a little upset but he goes out there and plays. And those [fouls] are multiple occasions."
The thing about it tho is that dwight has already shown the last couple of seasons that it frustrates him and takes him out his game. They use to do the same thing to shaq and im pretty sure lb is gonna start getting the same treatment since he stopped settling for so many jumpers. Shaq just played thru it, he new a hard foul was coming so he went up strong for the and 1 and ended up giving more punishment then he was recieving. Dwight has to do the samething.
ReplyDeleteI agree. You can complain, moan and groan. But if you want be considered a great player you to find a way to make them change the game. Every great player before has done it and has to do the same. On the other hand he needs more dimensions to his game. He cant do what Shaq did the rules has changed so he really needs to add more to his arsenal.

But nba today is so soft. I bet fouls on dwight would be considered this time since it is mentioned to public media.lol
