Walsh talks Knicks/Pacers defeating Heat

Donnie Walsh is regarded as one of the best GM's in the NBA and has led the Indiana Pacers and also the New York Knicks, currently he's in his second stint with the Pacers but he feels as if both franchises can defeat the Miami Heat in a playoff series.
“Big teams have a good chance,’’ Walsh said. “Miami is better against smaller lineups. They don’t have a big team. If you’re a team built like Miami is, you have no chance. If you got size, you might have a chance....I really like the Knicks’ team. They’re built for this time of year and the playoffs. They have a lot of veterans who’ve been there before. They don’t have good size, they have great size. They have everything they need to be successful in the playoffs.....Both teams are positioned well at this point. I do think size has always been something you strive for. I think we have it and the Knicks have it.’’
Thats total bullshit the chicago bulls In the jordan days wasnt a big team....besides longley in the late 90's and cartwright in the early 90's nobody else on the team was 7 foot and im not counting robert parish because he was old and washed up when he got to chicago...size is nice to have but to say thats something you strive for is stupid.. not to mention it was pointed out to me that miami beat indiana last year without bosh
ReplyDeleteHorace grant, brian williams, wennington, scott Williams, the list goes on. Rodman wasnt big but he played big
DeleteGrant, and both williams are 6'10, wennington was 7 foot but he was trash
DeleteRegardless phil had 2 bigs out there at all times. The only guy chicago's frontcourt who played small was kukoc, and still he was 6'11 and a decent rebounder
DeleteJordan also had Greg Kite and Orlando Woolridge. Ha ha. I can't imagine if Jordan had the same players as Lebron has. Everybody is athletic and can score. The heat should win the next couple of championships so predictable.
