The Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets have discussed a trade for forward Paul Pierce. According to reports, the Nets offered Kris Humphries, Marshon Brooks and a 1st round pick. At this time there's no word on if the Celtics are interested in finalizing the trade.
it's an even trade but I don't love the fact of taking pierce away from his team. Like garnett, he needs green. Let him finish his career where he has worked hard to create. Hypothetically he is at the near end of his career and brooks and humphries ate still valuable assets to the nets. Evans took humphries spot when Kris can average the same numbers rebounding and has since offense to go skiing with it. Brooks is still undeveloped but takes time. Josh smith is a deal I could see given his energy level when he is engaged as well as his defensive abilities. Don't make a trade just to make a trade.
I realky think that is a bad trade pual for a first round draft they just built a descent team I would much rather see Josh Smith in the power Forward.
I would love Pierce in Brooklyn. That would give him that much more fuel to win one more championship and have Joe Lopez and Williams and Wallace man I'm loving it
No way this trade goes down.
