I hope you guys are enjoying the All-Star Weekend and today The Hardwood Nation is celebrating our fans by giving you access. When we did this at the beginning of the season it was a huge success and your participation was much appreciated. I will be an open book today on all things NBA so fire any NBA related questions at me that you can think off and I will answer them all until the festivities begin tonight.
So,mr. Anthony.what team is your favorite?
ReplyDeleteThe question I've always dreaded lol, the Miami Heat have been my favorite team since 1995.
DeleteThunder and hornets, duh. Do u think ya thunder need to make a trade to make it out the west now??? I hate to say it but honestly im starting to feel like the clips r the best team now unless that al jefferson trade to the spurs goes down
DeleteThe heat!? Smdh
DeleteWhich team did you put your bet? West or east.
ReplyDeletek-9
If you're speaking of the All-Star game, I'm an East guy
ReplyDeleteIf the Al Jefferson trade goes down it will breathe life into the Spurs and they'll become the favorite out West. The Thunder are fine as they are currently constructed but perhaps they need to be better coached....just throwing that out there.
ReplyDelete^^^ive thought of that 2. After 5 straight losses to the heats he still hasnt made any adjustments. Wat u think of D12? Should lakers trade his ass? 1 more....wat did u think of lb's 6 or 7 game streak? Have u seen a better 1?
DeleteScott Brooks is a good coach, KD is a good player but there's times when good isn't good enough, the Heat were laughing at those guys. I think it's too early to give up on Howard because he's not 100% healthy and I'm not even speaking on the little shoulder injury. Lakers management is slowly destroying a viable franchise, Jackson could have fixed this.
ReplyDeleteIn all of my years of watching the NBA I've never seen anything like LeBron James' level of play in the last 2 years.
I didnt see it but mj's streak of 10 triple dubs n 11 games? Thats crazy. I think kobe's streak of 4 straight 50 point games was more impressive.
DeleteN there prime, kobe>lebron......who u got? Lol
People fail to mention what jordans record was during that 11 game triple double streak, I guarantee it wasnt a winning one...whats so impressive about lebrons streak is that the heat are undefeated during the streak
DeleteKobe by the slightest margin
ReplyDeleteMan u are crazy talking about u would take Kobe. There has never been a guy this big this fast & athletic as Lebron. He is truly a freak. Don't understand why u would take KB. No disrespect to Kobe he is Top 5 but this Lebron guy is crazy.
Delete81 points. That really happened dude
DeleteLets be real bro kobe shot the ball almost 50 times not counting 3's and free throws...if lebron shot 50 times while shooting at 56% from the floor he could do that too but hes not that kind of player
DeleteIm sure if lb could get to the rim 40 times and hit tough, crazy jumpshots like kobe! He would. And u get real bruh. U comparing wins and losses during lb's and mj's streaks but u leaving out lb is playing with wade & bosh, mj had nobody at that time cause scottie was comin off the bench. Dont get me wrong lb's streak is impressive and its good they got the wins but its always different situations when u trying to compare shit. Real talk, kobe's best ball was played when the lakers sucked but u gotta look at who was on his team. Even tho that streak of 9 straight 40 point games was during shaqs last year n la
Deleteand I agree with you about the big, fast & athletic part, LeBron is a freak of nature but prime for prime Kobe has the edge now. Now...is the key word due to the fact that Kobe is near the end and LeBron is in the middle of his prime, my answer to the same question may change in a couple of years.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think miami should do about the big man situation? Birdman has fit in quite nicely and I think we can win the chip with what we have but I still think we need another big
ReplyDeleteI really like the addition of Birdman because he's the player Joel Anthony should be. Due to cap limitations Miami will not address the big situation at this time but look at it like this, the Heat defeated the Pacers in the playoffs last season without Chris Bosh.
ReplyDeleteTrue!!!
DeleteOne more thing and lets be real take kobe off the lakers and put lebron in his spot do you think the lakers are title contenders? I just had to ask it lol...I think they would but I want your opinion
ReplyDeleteReally? Or did u just get a little bit offended about his choice of kobe over lebron.
DeleteWhat!? Really dude? Grow up man damn! I respect everyones opinion
DeleteTitle contenders no, playoff contenders yes, the defense would be better on the perimeter, but the Howard issue is too big of an issue for the presence of Bron to fix, they would at least be above the .500 mark
ReplyDeleteOk cool...you should do these Q&A sessions more often bro I like the app minus a few dumbasses on the comment thread
DeleteKobe has avg 30 this season, guarded the other teams quickest guard at 34 years old, and now hes doing nash's job avg 8 or more assist over the past 10 games....wat more can he do to fix the lakers? And is steve nash still a legit starter m your opinion?
DeleteThanks for the compliment and thank you guys for following us on this journey, we try our best to bring the most relevant NBA News to our fans as fast as we can. I'm going to be on my laptop all day so guys keep firing questions at me.
ReplyDeleteOne of the hardest things to do in life is to tell someone that they don't have it anymore but it's clear that Nash is at the point where someone should have sat him down perhaps 2 seasons ago and said that we've moving in a different direction. Cuban gave up on him too early and Phoenix held on too long, now he's seemingly lost in LA and may very well retire without an NBA Finals appearance, very strange for a 2 time MVP
ReplyDeleteI always respected nash's game but that first mvp should have been shaqs and that second kobe's
DeleteIt still baffles me to this day
ReplyDeleteDo you think boston will hold and make the playoffs?
ReplyDeleteI think they hold on, currently they are 7th in the east with the Bucks sitting at 8th and the Sixers 9th, even if the Celtics falter, the Sixers haven't shown that they are strong enough to ease back into playoff contention
ReplyDeletehey anthony... who ia your fav player?... and who u thibk are the best five nba players in the nba thia year... from. greates to least greatest....in. scorring the ball?
ReplyDeletemy fav player to watch outside of a Heat player would be Russell Westbrook
ReplyDeleteLeBron James
Kevin Durant
Carmelo Anthony
Kobe Bryant
Russell Westbrook
ok last question... whos the moat clutch player in the nba today. for u?
ReplyDeletemost*
ReplyDeleteWow, I just remember the stand out performances of LBJ in Indiana and Boston during last season's playoffs, We're all waiting patiently for KD to take the next step but now it's the current MVP
ReplyDeleteHow much potential does Tyson Chandler have, in your opinion? He's one of my favorite bigs in the league right now, but I feel his offense needs more work. Will he ever get the chance to improve his O while playing around Melo?
ReplyDeleteChandler was drafted in 2001, great defensive player but at 31 his offensive game is still not developed and it's likely that it never will be, it's just not in his skill set.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I see what you're saying. Oh well. I still enjoy watching him play. Keep pairing him with offensive behemoths like Melo, and he'll be a great asset, especially with the rebounding.
DeleteSince you say your an east guy do you think the east can finally pull out a win this year in the all star game...its been a couple of years since they won
ReplyDeleteWho you think is the most overrated and underrated player?
ReplyDeleteI'd hope so but the West's roster is loaded
ReplyDeleteOverrated would be Deron Williams, underrated would be Jamal Crawford
ReplyDeleteThank you! Spot on!
DeleteWhat do you think the lakers should do with Dwight.
ReplyDeleteAt this point it's obvious he won't be staying with lakers. If they do decide to make the trade, then when should they target?
I mean who should they target
DeleteBesides the heat what other team can u see him on?
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think about the trade rumors surrounding KG
ReplyDeleteDo you think Chris Bosh should be starting in the all star game?
ReplyDelete-Marcus
D12 should be sent to Atlanta for Josh Smith and of course there would be other players involved.
ReplyDeleteBoston has been involved in about 70% of the trade rumors I've seen. With that said KG has a no trade clause that's he's stated he'll waive if Pierce is traded as well. He's a trade no one has thought of, trade KG to Miami for Bosh, both teams win in the long run.
ReplyDeleteSince I am a Boston fan it would hurt to see another Celtic in a Heat uniform
DeleteI'm a traditionalist, the game should feature 2 guards, 2 forwards and 1 center. Sunday's East lineup will feature 1 guard and 4 forwards. Bosh shouldn't start.
ReplyDeleteWhat is Spo thinking? Does he think he can beat the West with that kind of line-up?
DeleteI feel you on that, when Ainge put the Celtics together he stated that he wouldn't keep them together for too long and that's what he's done so now he has to fix it but it may be too late
ReplyDeletebench play will be very important on both sides and you'll see a more traditional lineup when the second unit comes in for the East
ReplyDeleteAnthony who are the top 5 (pg, sg, sf, pf, and centers) this season from greatest to least..
ReplyDeleteA list of that nature will take sometime so I'll cut it short to starters and my bench:
ReplyDeleteStarters: Chris Paul, Kobe, Lebron James, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Brook Lopez
Bench: Russell Westbrook, Dwyane Wade, Kevin Durant, Zach Randolph, and Marc Gasol
Ill take tony parker over westbrook but I cant argue with the rest
DeleteWho's the most improved player to you this season? I think jrue holiday but who do you think?
ReplyDeleteJrue has impressed me and he was rewarded with an All-Star spot but Paul George of the Pacers has become the face of that franchise and he would be my choice for most improved
ReplyDeleteHe and Noah are a lot alike in that they saw their star player go down and put the team on their back. It just shows the resilience of both teams.
DeleteIn the time you've been watching basketball, what has been your favorite "Oh shit!" moment? I'm in my early 20s, so for me, it was Jordan playing like a beast through the flu with the runner up being Shaq smashing the backboard. Haha
ReplyDeleteFor me it would probably be Kobe dunking on Yao Ming for the first time, the Vince Carter Dunk in the 2000 Olympics and T-Mac dunking over Shawn Bradley
ReplyDeleteDamn, I forgot about the Kobe/Ming dunk! I can't remember the other two for some reason. I'll have to look those up.
DeleteIs there a player or team you absolutely can't stand, regardless of skill?
ReplyDeleteD12
ReplyDeleteHahahaha. I feel you on that. That was my last question, man. I swear.
DeleteToday was awesome, thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!
