The Memphis Grizzlies have traded Marreese Speights, Josh Selby, Wayne Ellington, and protected 1st round pick (2015) to Cavs. Jon Leuer to Grizzlies. The move will allow the Grizzlies to move under the cap and the urgency of trading Rudy Gay or Zach Randolph can wait until the off season.
Why did they give a 1st round pick? The players alone are too much for Leur. I understand they're trying to clear some cap room but seems to me they went a little overboard, but then again I'm not in their shoes, hopefully they get everything figured out. Always liked the Grizz.
ReplyDeletethe pick is protected
DeleteMaybe they making a play for Lebron in 2014
ReplyDeleten if that happens lbj is gonna be the biggest loser in NBA history for just chasing rings instead of being a true solder and ride it out to he end with the heat
ReplyDeletehe already left to get a ring....now he got a ring so he should just stay in MIAMI
ReplyDeleteLike the trade for the cavs. I believe speights can start n the nba. Seems like the grizz r just clearing roster spaces for a bigger move....a z bo or gay trade thats gonna bring them better role players.
ReplyDeleteGood trade for the cavs. Speights is a good big man (liked the way he played when he was on my sixers team). And ellington and selby are good semi young outside shooters which the cavs are already pretty good on. Then there's the 1st round pick lol. Who's Jon leuer tho.. never heard of him o.o
ReplyDeleteHe was in the D-League after being traded to the Cavs by the Bucks.
ReplyDeleteThis is good for the cavs but memphis bench takes a huge hit...ive heard of this jon leuer guy before but ive never seen him play so I don't know what he brings to the table...if Memphis is going to make a run for the championship they are going to need to trade Gay or Randolph what some perimeter shooting...I think they will get more in return by trading Gay rather than Randolph in my opinion
ReplyDelete*for some
DeleteJon leuer means nothing in this trade, its just so its a trade and not a giveaway. They just want to clear cap...
ReplyDeleteYeah thats true
