During the summer of 2009, the Detroit Pistons thought they were making a splash in free agency when they signed Charlie Villanueva and Ben Gordon. The pair were signed to turn around a struggling franchise but things didn't work out as planned and recently Ben Gordon spoke of what brought him to Detroit and how he struggled during his time there..
"When I came here, it was — is — a great, storied organization," he said. "I had visions of going to the playoffs and things of that nature....I think my role here was a lot different," said Gordon, "In Chicago I came off the bench, but I also started a lot of games, too. I played a lot more there....I've thought about that and I think about it a lot....It's a lot of different reasons but it's just things with anything in life you try to learn from. You learn from your failures and try to get better."
Hes still a damn good shooter. He was lights out when he was with the bulls. Hopefully pistons can figure somthin out.
ReplyDeleteWell they couldnt cause gordon plays for the bobcats now. He shouldve stayed his ass n the chi. That was a good fit with him comin off the bench. Thought that was a real exciting team to watch when d rose was a rookie
DeletePeaches u wrong again it wasn't any room for him with the bulls he had to go.
DeleteHow am i wrong? They lost him and kurt hinrich n the same offseason. It was room, the pistons just offered more money and he thought he was gonna b a starter.
