The Memphis Grizzlies have traded front court player Rudy Gay to the Toronto Raptors. The Grizzlies will acquire Ed Davis and Jose Calderon and then Calderon will be shipped to the Pistons for Tayshaun Prince and Austin Day.

ReplyDeleteI believe they're a better team without him. ZBO can be the focus on offense and dominate like he did wo Gay. Gasol and Conley have also proven they can step up wo Gay.

ReplyDeleteI think memphis couldve done better with this trade but i dont see it as a step back. i think daye is decent could b better with more consistent minutes and davis is 1 of the most promising young bigs n the nba. Tayshaun is still a good defender and a better 3 point shooter than gay, he can spread the floor better which is gonna help there half court offense. It might not show during the regular season but it will help n the playoffs when the game slows down they will need another shooter out there n between the bigs and non shooter tony allen. Just cause gay is the better player that dont mean he is the best fit for that team.

I like speights too but his game is very similar to z bo and gasol so why not have a more athletic option like davis as a backup. And leur who they got from cavs 6'10 shooter can rebound. Hes just n his 2nd year, he hasnt even had the opportunity to b trash yet

Tayshaun is getting older and older meaning his goin to be useless soon. N not no way Rudy n derozan is da same player one a SF n one SG come on now. The trade was stupid period.

DeleteI think if you were going to trade Rudy you should have did it before the season and resigned OJ and kept Ellington and Spheights. I hate to Rudy go Because with a lil more Training and hard work he could be a Superstar right under Melo but right there with James Harden. I think we could have atleast got a 1st rd pick out the deal.
