OKC Thunder guard Russell Westbrook last evening became the first player in NBA history to achieve the following stat line:
23 pts, 13 rebs, 8 asts & 7 stls

DeleteYou really don't get what he accomplished? Russell is the only NBA player in history to achieve that stat line, no one has done that yet, not LeBron, not Jordan, Kobe or anyone ever. That's incredible

ReplyDeleteNo one in nba history has those number levels except Russ, that's the big deal. 23 pts 13 rebs 8 asts 7 stls mean ,"He basically played damn near every position all at one time, successfully, that's almost impossible to do for anyone, kinda like using 1 guy on the court to do it all. I'm pretty sure he'll top his own record.

DeleteThis is the westbrook i want to see! Hes startin to get it. If he plays like this all year getting his teamates invole with 8 to 9 assist per game n not take more shots than the best shooter in nba durant watch out for okc in the west n east. But they still need a dominant center like a howard, g.monroe, noah, mark gasol etc.

DeletePerkins does not have a good offense hes got good defense but you need a center whos good on both side of the court. Dont be suprise if he gets traded one day. Just imagine okc with a very good center nuff said.

DeleteI know the facts and the fact is that if you think they have enough assets to trade for a dominant center or enough money to add another allstar you are out of your mind. They just signed 2 max contracts and an almost full contract in ibaka while adding kevin martin who is pretty expensive for a 6th man as well.

Well if he keep putting up 8 turnovers with this play there's not to much to worry about. Turnovers can break a team down even doe his steals may make up but he's not goin to put up to many of these games he thinks about shooting to much.
ReplyDeleteHaters gone hate. He made history only second to Jordan in a finals game, he's been a top-five scorer, & one of the youngest pg to make it to the finals next to the likes of Magic Johnson. His second attempt for a quadruple double and the ONLY nba player in history to achieve his current historic stat line.
ReplyDeleteTurnovers? There down from last season which Durant himself had more of & even Harden. Tony Parker has never averaged 7 assist a season ever accept for one season, Westbrook has averaged over 8 in two and now at 8.7 this season. He's making history while ignorant people are listening to Skip Bayless and other bias analysts. He single handily ripped the Spurs and Lakers, Harden barely showed up and KD wasn't always aggressive enough. History has spoken again & again and it keeps Westbrook name in it.
Yes, he had some issues that seems to be airing out, as did Jordan and a young Kobe, but his athletic ability is second to none as for all around rebounding pg, scorer, defender, unnatural speed and increasing his assist. He's clearly a favorite to watch & my favorite in the game, love KD too.
ESPN ranked Westbrook number #9 in the league among all players, & he keeps getting better. Hes unselfish, took a pay cut to hold the team together unlike James Harden who okc is doing even better without. Russell = "First player with 23 pts 8 asts 13 rebs 7 stls in history," that goes for every great player and every single point guard.
A fan once said he's not human...agreed he most have God in him?
