Hints have been dropped the Lakers point guard Steve Nash could make a return to the lineup sometime this week. The Lakers are coming off of losses to the Thunder and to Utah and are currently 11th in the Western Conference. Do you think Nash can fix the Lakers' problems or is it a lost cause for the franchise this season?
Offensively...maybe....defensively....most likely not. All he can do is help the flow of offense n take pressure off Kobe , get gasol n Howard more looks. But the Lakers problem isn't their offense I believe,its their defense... back court is too old n slow and they have no will to win anymore as a whole team..
ReplyDeleteUnstoppable on offense but the defense will b even worst. combine that with hack a dwight n the 4th we just going have to score alot of points to have a padded lead going into the 4th. definitely not a lost cause cause the lakers will b there n the end but cant beat okc unless they make a trade. Okc team speed just to much for us but i still dont doubt they can beat any other team n a 7 game series if healthy.

ReplyDeletePhil jackson is laughing his ass off. They screwed him over last minute and its gonna bite them in the ass. Woodsen saved the knicks after dantoni screwed them up but phil would never listen. To the lakers now . Serves them right. Stupid management. Spend large on players then get Mickey mouse coach!
ReplyDeleteLol..funny...but please somebody please tell me how phil is gonna fix that defense?? Without mentioning the triangle or his 11 rings. Phil made a habit of sitting on the bench trying to b all cool and watching the opposition go on 20 to nothin runs without callin a timeout. Im sorry but i dont get how that coaching technique is goung to fix the effort of lakers defense? The buss's realized that they gonna have to score points with the lackluster defense this roster plays, plus the free throw shooting thats why they hired a offensive coach like d'antoni. Now i will say d'antoni needs to adjust his style a bit but i just dont c how phil is the answer and ive been a laker fan watching phil and this team for years
DeleteThe problem is Kobe shooting 30 shots a game then not playing D. Nash can not hold these fast guards in the NBA today. I mean Im thinking maybe they might pick it up n the end. They will go out in the first round the way they are looking right now.

Thank you, tell these kobe lovers that and they will deny the facts, people are not blind we watch the same games they do. Kobe is a ball hog pig. Kobe fans cant handle the truth! Dwight go to mavs. This ball hog will make u look bad.

Deleteyah laker fans stop with the whole lakers winning the chip cause they getting knocked out in the 1at round and that's if they make it... you seen they record? it's horrible for a team that got kobe and nash in the same team...howard avging 14 points per game.. that's poor ...them lakers just wanted to make another heat team... but they plans backfired ...and watch howard leave the lakers next year kobe 34 and he hogs the ball thinking he gonna drop 81 or 50 points again...he need to learn how to make others shine and except the fact that he ain't the big shit he ones was

DeleteOk the Lakers are my team for life win or lose and we are not doing so hot but our complete team has only played one game together and that was under a completely different coach. By having Nash come back and run an offense he use to run in his sleep will make a huge difference. Okc is a threat and our defense is horrible and won't improve this year but Lakers fan or not you can't just count them out. One year in the 70's the Celtics only lost 14 games the whole season and were eliminated from the playoffs so I still have hope.

DeleteSo sick of hearing that too, yes the heat started out 8-9 but they had a great defense even then. Just struggled to score. Lakers are the oppisite

ReplyDeleteLakers have no vibe... no love, no passion, no trust. These guys dont seem to enjoy the game, let alone each other. See Bill Simmons's latest Grantland piece. The problem isnt Kobe taking 30 shots a game, its Kobe's 'leadership'style that hurts the team. And they are one of the least athletic, slowest teams in the league. Their bench rivals Portland's and Washington's for most 'why is that guy in the league' moments.

Dwights is definitely not all there and i cant say if its kobe or dwight's health or the system or wat but i think nash will help make everybody happy and i think he will b the leader no doubt on offense when he returns and kobe's shots wont b a issue the main problem is defense

ReplyDeleteYea they did. Esp in ny. Phoenix was bad too it's just their offense was great so it hid that. If u look at the Knicks now. They basically running dantonis offense with more isolations for Melo. The only diff is they playing some def now. N the Lakers look horrible bc theIr personnel doesn't match his system n they not playing def. N I it bothers me that all the talk I hear is wait til Nash comes back. I agree that he'll make it better but as a fan it shud worry u that they putting so much stock into one man. N aging one at that. ESP when u got d12 n Kobe.
