When asked yesterday at shootaround if Amar'e Stoudemire would be a starter once he returns from injury, Knicks head coach Mike Woodson gave the following answer.

“I’m going to address that when we get to that point,” he said. “Right now, I’m just taking it a day at a time and work [with] the guys we have in uniform....Our doctors make that decision,’’ Woodson said on whether he travels. “He’s continuing therapy. When the time comes he’ll let us know when he’s ready.’’

With the role that the Knicks have on lately with Carmelo Anthony primarily at the 4, Stoudemire would serve the Knicks better on their second unit alongside of J.R. Smith among others.  Despite being paid $100 by Knicks to be "the guy" before the Carmelo Anthony trade, he may now become the most expensive bench player in the history of the NBA.
