Kobe Bryant has now said a second time that he plans to retire in two years when his contract is up. Do you think that Kobe is trying to motivate himself to win another championship after already having 5 or is he serious about his impending "retirement"?
Tryin to motivate his teammates maybe but I think he will play as long as he can put up 20 and still b a contributing factor he will play

ReplyDeleteIf he wins one this year n not next year Ill say its a 50/50 chance. If he doesn't win this year but wins next I definitely think he'll come back. Mj is his idol can't see him walking away if la has a legit chance of helping him surpass mj in number of titles.

DeleteGood point but I say as long as lakers r winning titles he will b fine with being a role player. I know its a stretch with his ego but he does love the game its just up to him to understand his limitations as he gets older. I can see him as he gets 36, 37 just being a great spot up shooter

First of all the Heat didnt choke last year, I call it a learning curve and after we learned how to lose we came back better mentally and physically and put the beat down on everyone and took what was rightfully ours...the NBA Championship!! DeleteLebron is a more complete player than Kobe. But Kobe basketball IQ is much higher than lebrons. I think Kobe will retire. I disagree with preach on this one.. Kobe is not interested in being a spot up shooter. In an interview the other day he was asked if its Dwight's team or his team? And he said "my team. That's a stupid question. It will be my team until I retire." He will retire. How many people that Jordan would have retired after his 6th? And for those who said Kobe is at Jordan's level?? Jordan was a much better defender. If you at the stats Kobe beats him in 2 stat categories. One is ft by 3 tenths of a percent. So hardly anything. And the 3pt% by only 1%!! So his three point shot wasnt that much higher at all. Jordan beat kobe by almost a steal a game. 5% higher career fg%. 5 more ppg. I just done think its close. No one will average those types of number over there entire career like he did. And they would prolly be higher if he didn't retire in 93 during his prime. Sorry but as you can see I'm a huge Jordan fan.. so I get annoyed when people say Kobe is on his level.. lol but Kobe is a boss even though I hate him... lol
