Celtics coach Doc Rivers sees the aquicistion of Courtney Lee as an opportunity to run the fast break more. Lee has a career average of 10 ppg and shoots 38% from beyond the arc.
“What I’m expecting to see is just an all-around player,” Rivers said. “I think he does a lot of things well and that helps our team. He can play multiple positions, he’s a terrific shooter, a terrific defender, a terrific team player — he does a lot for us....I would like to increase the pace of play a little bit. I just think we are a little different of a team...We’ve had guys that really wanted to run and I think we have more of those guys now, so that helps.”

Were gonna beat the heat in first round easy
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but that just doesn't make sense. I do not see the Heat and Celtics even having the possibility of a 1st round match up. They will both be top 3 teams. They may not meet at all in the playoffs. And if they do I anticipate it to be in the eastern conference finals. But yes Boston has done a great job on moving on without Ray. They should be more fun to watch now with the younger Lee and explosiveness of Terry.
