Welcome to the NBA, guard James Harden was traded overnight to the Houston Rockets after declining a final offer made the Oklahoma City Thunder of a $55 million extension that stretched 4 years. The Thunder acquired Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb and 2 first round picks from the Rockets.
Crazy...big credit to thunder management for being ready to make a move, they wasnt playing no games. K mart is not that efficient but he probably will b just as effective comin off the thunder bench and lamb mite end up being better than both these dudes. If Im harden id rather take 8 mill less to play on a winning team than go to a sorry team and get tha max cause now he will get exposed caused hes not that dude. And if im the rockets...wat the fuck r they doing!? Harden probably will leave thru free agency and for this season u stuck with to overrated dudes jackin up shots out ya backcourt...going to b a disaster
Yeah this dude actually passed up 55 mil cause he wanted 60 stupid move cause the thunder had offer 52 and then offered 55 when he said no , I doubt he will resign with the rockets, there's no reason for him to stay there. K marts numbers should increase cause its not as much pressure on him with more scoring power on the team and he should also be coming off the bench... And Jeremy Lamb is going to be a good player for any team.... Especially the thunder now they can move Westbrook to his natural position at 2 guard.... And play both at the same time or switch between Westbrook lamb Maynor and Kmart all can handle and distribute it will be more how can they utilize they're match ups
Harden had the luxury of playing with 2 allstars that had all the defenses attention so he shot wide open shots things are about to get alot harder for him and he will see he is not capable of being the man on any team. Great deal for OKC they actually got better and WTF is Houston thinking? Houston gave up Martin and Lamb which is already too much for Harden but then you give them 2 1st rd draft picks? They should just pack up and move to Seattle now why even wait til 2014. Seattle Super-Rockets coming soon!!!!
Yeah man during the reg season when James harden came off the bench he was often matched up against other teams bench players until the playoffs started and teams were playing there superstars over 40 mins a game. He was ok against Dallas and s.a. But against the lakers he struggled against Kobe and mwp and he sucked ass against the heat having to matchup with wade and lbj.
Dumbass Rockets, and Hardens value is most likely going to drop now because although he is good, he has never been the leader of a team, OKC where winners, Rockets--- Losers
Ya taking 5 million less over the next 4 years to stay with the okc doesnt seem like the issue... i think harden just feels sold out being the last of the 4 in okc to get a contract, and then being the only one that didnt get the max. I heard rockets will offer him the max in the next few days tho before he plays. So at least he will be 5 mil richer? But not only was the thunder winning, they got the best crowd...harden may have just traded his happiness for pride
That might b the case 2 but ibaka didnt get a max deal either, he accepted the same deal harden rejected. Just sounds like harden is straight up selfish to me. all I ever here is that okc team is so tight and loyal to each other but this shit here is all about money. They say harden already took the max deal from Houston....cant really knock him for getting his money now tho cause his value damn sure wont b the same after this year
Everyone in here is saying the samething im from Houston and im like WTF? We do this all the time him or lin are not leader's of a team they are BENCH players six men. And for him to leave like that your mind only on money then I bet after his contract is up with us he'll pull a ray allen and go to whatever team has a ring that year.
I think james HAS to start sg at the rockets because they dont have anything good anymore at that position, knowing harden, he does not know HOW to start or play the minutes of a starter he will struggle minorly. ..
Harden does play starter minutes and often is on the floor for closing out games. But the problem is will he shine on a losing team? Or will he be an after thought guard like tyreke evans and monta ellis for being on losing teams.
Jeremy Lin n Harden gunna b like mcgrady n Yao....playoff team automatically... Lin dropping like 30 a game, Harden like 40, bench like 35 n they might give OKC,LAL, LAC n Spurs a good run at the playoffs...nobody in the NBA can stick Lin 1on1 n Harden is an automatic bucket..I predict 3rd seed on the west
Lin,harden, parsons, patterson, asik thats the projected line up.
There bench consist of dudes like Toney douglas, marcus morris, royce white,
Cant say chemistry will be too bad, harden has history with cook and hayward
There rise in the west will be determined by 3 players. Harden has to prove he's a legit star and he can carry this young rockets team. Lin has to prove he belongs in the position he's been given, is he a diamond in the rough or garbage in a can. And finally Omer Asik has to prove he's a starter, I liked Asik in chicago. I knew he wasn't goin last there cause he had potential to be a starter, when he was starting for a injured noah. He held his own. Those 3 are the future. How they carry this team this year will determined how they are for the future. If they end the season between 10-13 in the west. they should be fine for the future, they just need more pieces. if they suck....yikes.

ReplyDeleteIt's wasn't about money man he wants to be a starter. He wants the chance to be the man. Let's see what he is going to do as one of the leaders.
DeleteOKC made out great

DeleteJames SOFTen aint worth shit ! But hey he'd rather be overrated than underpayed
ReplyDeleteKudos to Presti for showing that if you aren't willing to sacrifice for the team, you aren't worth doing business with.
ReplyDeleteHe's a restricted free agent. He can't go anywhere unless Houston doesn't give him a max deal
