Chandler speaks on Lin

Since his departure from the Knicks during the off season, Jeremy Lin has become something of the lightning rod for those within the Knicks organization.  Knicks center Tyson Chandler felt as if their best weapons on offense, Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire, were not put in the proper positions by Jeremy Lin.

“Melo went to playing the point and making a lot of the decisions. Although he’s capable, I feel like it was putting too much on him. This year with the point guards we’ve got he can play his natural position and be a finisher. And Amar’e can do the same......Jeremy was a young point guard who was just learning,” Chandler said. “He was trying to figure out how to run an offense. He brought a lot to this organization but as far as being able to run the offense and put players in the right positions he wasn’t there yet. We have veteran point guards now who are capable of doing that....The onus is on our point guards to put them in the right positions,” Chandler said, “which I know they will.”
