Beasley talk defense, passing

When focused, Michael Beasley can be one of the most gifted young players in the NBA when it comes to offense. During his 4 year career, Beasley has never given 100% on defense but that has seemingly changed for the better.
“This is the first year I really applied 100 percent to the defensive side....I’m not really worried about the offense. Offense, I’m just trying to learn the plays. Defense, I’m just trying to be aggressive, trying to kind of guard two people at one time, trying to learn both positions and trying to stay on the glass as much as I can.....I definitely see myself being that guy, the last two minutes of the game, finding everybody and running everything smoothly and also being a key defender on the other side,” Beasley said. “I just want to win. Whatever I can do to help the team. Whatever my coaches and the team ask from me, that’s what I’m going to do.”

DeleteScoring is no problem for beasley. Dude just gotta get adjusted to guarding perimeter players cause hes been use to playin the 4 his whole life and he was a great rebounder n college so i dont see no reason why he cant atleast avg 20 and 8 n Phoenix if he can guard people and stay on the court.
ReplyDeleteI agree he should be able to average 20 and 8 if he applies himself. Fingers crossed its a brake out year for him. Who cares if he buns the erb
DeleteBeasley is a sometiming ass dude. I would not want him on my team. He will score 40 one night & 2 the next night. Fuck him!!
DeleteHe could become a great defender,he just has to get that consistentcy down, and I think he said it himself bout playing hard that last 2 mins, how bout showing up for that last 2 mins...there was no way around it the wolves had to trade him
ReplyDeleteODDIO
hes fckd up mentally, fighting depressions etc.thats his biggest problem and unfortunately hell never be able to give 100% on the field on a constant basis
ReplyDeleteBeasley has nice skills. He'll really get the chance to back that talk up this season for PHX but I doubt he will. Its hard to stay motivated and work hard when ur team is gettin they're ass whooped almost every night.
