Russell talks Noah

While recovering from a recent open heart surgery, NBA legend Bill Russell spoke with NBA.com and talked at length about players who play the game with the most pride. Russell listed Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant and LeBron James among those players but he also had a very interesting take on Bulls forward/center Joakim Noah.
"A player who doesn't get much attention and is one of my favorites to watch is Joakim Noah," Russell said. "The Bulls don't utilize some of his skills. Not only is he a good rebounder but he's an excellent passer. A good passer is more important to a team than a good shooter on offense."

Amen. Wise words from a wise man.
ReplyDeleteU know i agree and i would like to c noah play beside a true center because i think he has more of a pf skill set myself. But either way I think bulls should play more of a high low offense with noah at the top of the key, free throw line area like c webb and divac use to n saccramento. They can use noahs passing better that way and boozer is capable of playing that role 2
ReplyDeleteI agree with u. I think they don't bc Noah doesn't have a consistent jumpshot. That's y it worked for sac bc u had to respect their shot. I love Noahs heart tho. Very few play as hard as him.
ReplyDeleteNot consistent but has gottin better over the years. Like I said boozer tho...he has a good jumper. I think it could work
DeleteBoozer does but he's not the same cat who played in Utah. N that means Noah wud have to play on the block n he really doesn't have a post game. They need to fig out something tho bc the really don't have an identity in offense. Its rose or nothing.
