While speaking to the media yesterday for 44 minutes, Brooklyn Nets GM Billy King displayed a great sense of confidence in the roster that he has constructed.
"I think we've got a lot of talent, I think we've got a good team. And now, it's going to be those pieces, how quickly they gel,'' he said. "I think we have a team that is a playoff team, on paper. I think we have a team that can withstand injuries, because we have depth...But as I've always said: Can we win a championship? Yeah. But it takes luck, in an NBA season, to do that. You've got to be healthy, for the most part, you've got to get some breaks – the ball's got to bounce your way some times....At the end of the day, I did what I was supposed to do, with my staff in putting together a team,'' he continued. "Now, it's Avery (Johnson) and the coaches – they get to play the games and we get evaluate and see if there's any tinkering needs to be done to make it better.''
I think the Nets have a good team, and if healthy and if they gel together they shouldn't have a problem making the playoffs but saying they are a possible championship team is a stretch. I think before they can claim that they need to add a more versatile team. But best of luck to the Nets. They will probably have their best season since the Jason Kidd departure.

Even with the weapons they acquired in the off season, they are going to the playoff but to win a n nba title is out of their reach. Lopez has to be a best of nature like Howard and Bynum to win.
ReplyDeleteAnd the New York Giants will win a superbowl this year. Ha ha
