The Boston Celtics decided to waive guard Keyon Dooling yesterday after he expressed a desire to retire.  The retirement was promptly announced through Dooling's agent Kenge Stevenson.  Dooling played 12 seasons in the NBA and owns career averages of 7 points, 2.2 assists, and 1.3 rebounds per game.

"Keyon has decided that he has given the NBA 12 good years and that it's time to pursue other interests and spend more time with his family," said Stevenson via a release on the team's website. "He will never forget his time in Boston with the Celtics."
