Cuban talks Lakers again

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban recently stated that the moves the Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets made this off season will not make them championship teams. Yesterday as Cuban spoke to The Sporting News he shared the same thoughts about the Lakers.
"The Lakers have done this before," Cuban said. "Remember Gary Payton, Karl Malone and Kobe and Shaq were all together, and it didn't work....It takes great chemistry, like [Dallas] coach [Rick Carlisle] alluded to, it takes guys wanting to be there — I don't know if all their guys want to be there — it's going to be interesting....Look, [the Lakers are] going to be a great team, but I remember when we made our run. We weren't supposed to win any series. The Lakers were defending champs when we swept them and they had everybody back."
I don't like this guy but he is right. They let go the #2 center & got the #1 center no big change there they got a old Ass Nash he can still play but no D. Then u got a bunch of bums on the bench. The end!

Ima talk about cuban, he need to b explaining himself why didnt none of his players on that championship team stay and defend there crown? Why d will opted to stay with the nets and not come to his hometown? He played himself and now he wanna talk chemistry? Its no wonder why the mavs finally got it together and won 1 when he finally decided to sit his yuppie crybaby ass down and let carlisle coach the team! Dude is always talkin bout somebody else team, explain yours! Why chandler left? Who said it wasnt all about the money cause he didnt like cuban. He couldnt even keep guys like barea, j.t., and kidd? Please, u break a championship squad up and got the nerve to talk about other trams improving. And that year lakers got g.p. and malone....dude I was the only laker fan screaming that shit aint gonna work and It didnt but wat we got now works if u look at all the things that the players on this team do well individually it fits. And nets r doing a decent job too.

DeleteCuban broke up his team so he wouldn't have to pay his players what they were worth, bcuz he could find equally talented players for a lot cheaper and just build the chemistry. they ain't winning anything sion, but Cuban is right, he didn't say the Lakers won't win, he said the additions made alone doesn't make them championship teams, and they don't. if they win it all it will be because the played good smart team basketball. and until they get that chemistry built and play well together, they are not the best team. there are so many better: OKC, MIA, CHI, SA, BOS, even an Indiana and Denver team that plays great team ball, LA will have a new pg, sf, and C. they can potentially be the team but aren't yet.
DeleteHe makes a good point u can have all the talent in the sorld but with no chemistry at this level of play makes it extremely hard to win a 7 game series against a team that has been together for yrs. It happened to my heat n im predicting the same for tge lakers. They will need a yr to get where they need to be after tht who knows tgey could possibly win 2014 but i think aa a franchise they made bad moves by bot going after any younger players capable of building around.

Building around? Kobe is win now and I wish people will stop comparing when the heat put there team together and this years lakers with d12. The problem with the heat was u had to great perimeter players who basically play the same style offensively n terms of how they get there points and a big man n bosh who is basically a perimeter player 2. Thats why it took heat almost 2 seasons to get it right and they were still good enough to get to the finals both years. Like I said the lakers dont have that problem everybody on the lakers bring something different to the table. D12 paint defense, mwp peremeter defense, kobe scoring, nash destributing, jamison a stretch 4 man, clark versatility at the forward spot, meeks, duhon, and blake, shooters but I know streaky but good enough and pau who just fits right n. A 7 footer who can do everything on the bball court and play back up center, both him and dwight dont need the ball to b effective like bynum who needed the game to b slowed all the way down and no double teams or zone d to get his points

DeleteMark may have made some solid points but it wasnt his place to comment because last I checked the Lakers keep hanging new banners up like every 2-3yrs and he has been a owner for a while now and only has one. So I think they know how to run their organization better then you do. I don't like the Lakers but they are going to be scary good this year and as far as Brooklyn goes they will be decent but they don't scare any one just another Atlanta Hawks type team make the playoffs but never make it past the 2nd round. Brooklyn paid and brought in the wrong players.
