Artest Predicts 73?

While speaking to media recently Metta World Peace aka Ron Artest stated that one of the Lakers' goal for this upcoming season will be to surpass the Chicago Bulls record of 72-10 during the 95/96 NBA season.
‘We definitely want to beat the Bulls record and go 73-9, that’s definitely something that I want to do. Whoever is out there at the beginning of the season then we gotta get it. It’s as simple as that. We just have to go get it. You try to snatch records before you leave this earth. You gotta try to do a lot of great things so it’s definitely a goal. With Dwight Howard, Nash, Kobe, myself, Pau and then Jamison and a lot of great additions it’s something that’s possible.’

Ok metta. Lets not start talkin out our ass like heat fans. Im predicting championship but a dominate regular season like that? Nah
ReplyDeleteright on par with "not one, not two.....".
DeleteBefore the playoffs, you will never see artest in laker uniform. I predict an early exit via trade...73?you gonna be kidding me..bynum is no different from howard..last season will be the same this year for the lakers..okc and heat part 2 in the finals..
ReplyDeleteI agree^^^
DeleteI dont think they will trade metta. As long as he can increase his 3pt % and keep playing defense like he always does, he will be a Laker for a few more seasons. He doesn't mind being 6th man so the Lakers have options for him, as well as when Fisher left he tried to take up more of a leasdership role.
DeleteThis dude is talking stupid....he mustve fell down the stairs again and bumped his head lol
ReplyDeleteI def think he's bugging but I love the attitude. Its kinda sad more players don't have that mindset. Im tired of watching games where cats take the night off. It wud ne great to see a team break that record no matter who it is
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, howard isnt gonna b ready at the beggining of the season and second is that they would have to play almost every game and u know how the stars get nights off at the end of regular season, i really dont see it but u cant blame a player for being optimistic, thats what he has to do,,,,

O yea I like the confidence and dont get me wrong cause mettas crazy ass probably really believes that and hes gonna go hard everynite to try to make that happen. Thats why he will remain a laker despite wat his stats say. I just wish he wouldnt say it publicly.
Deletenot so easy to keep your mouth shut when u team up with two superstars is it preach? time to lay off bron for chips speech bc this just as bad
DeleteU know great point but we all know metta's insane. Wats lebrons excuse? I let u answer to avoid being called a name today
Deletelebrons crazy good
DeleteIts very possible but a record like that is very difficult to break. Last season the Lakers killed it at home but couldn't take care of road games. Even with Dwight Howard out for possible a few games. The Lakers still have a decent back up with Jordan hill. As long as the Lakers can begin to take care of the road and improve their home record of 26-7, they hypothetically could break the record. Will it happen? Most likely not, but its the NBA anything could happen.
ReplyDeleteRon has a better chance of scoring 73 points then to break that record..

Shut the fuck.up lakers all day d howard here its ah fuckin rap lames.
ReplyDeleteTheres a possibilty that they can beat that record if they acquire again Phil Jackson as a head coach...lol
ReplyDeleteGood words its always good to make goals will it happen idk but we shall see
ReplyDeleteThe lakers could definately beat that record.....on NBA2K13 lol
