Q: What are you looking forward to with USA Basketball this summer?
Just having an opportunity to play with the group of guys that's going to be on the team, an opportunity to represent our country. It should be fun.
How do you think the 2010 FIBA World Championship experience helped you?
A lot. That was my first time playing in the World Championships or Euro basketball, period. It was a great experience and that was one of the most fun experiences I had in my life.
What's it like being around so many other NBA stars?
It's crazy, because you really never know how they are as people. You kind of just see them on the court and don't say much. Well, I don't say nothing. But you don't talk to them as much. When you get an opportunity to hang with them outside of it, it's kind of cool.
To go through it with Kevin Durant, what's that going to be like for you guys?
It'll be great, man. I mean, Kevin and me, we can both go through this together. Hopefully we have another opportunity to win another medal together. We're just going to embrace it and have fun.
Did you have dreams of Olympics when you were a kid?
Nah (laughs). I never did, man. I don't know. I never really dreamed about playing (in the Olympics). I always seen it. I always watched them, but I never had dreams that I thought I'll be playing. So this will definitely be a great experience and a dream come true for me.

ReplyDeleteI think serge would have been definatly Considered if he was american. he led the league in blocks and usa is short on big man. they considered anothony davis and he hasn't even played a nba game yet.

ReplyDeleteHaha ibaka is going to play for Spain and it does not just go off the finals its the whole season harden would not be there if it was not for injuries but he is and he is very very efficient. And king handles has no clue westbrook more then deserves to be there. And if ibaka was not playing for Spain he would be considered how seriously I don't no but it does not matter cuz he is always going to play for Spain
