DeleteI think the nets have a favoreable starting lineup, you have possibly the purest PG in the league, a solid shooting guard in Johnson, All NBA defender thats strong and can matchup well against melo, one of the best rebounders in the league, with Humphries and Brook Lopez is still a work in progress but he's not gonna have a problem against Chandler

Deletewhoever said wallace is an all nba defender is an idoit. wallace gets a lot of blocks at the rims but hes not quick enough on the permiter to guard melo. willaims is over rated hes a good scorer, but the only stat hes ever led the league in is turnovers (last year), humpries would be solid of the bench but wouldn't start on most teams. the only upside nets have is brook lopez but chamdler can guard him

DeleteBut Ill tell you what I do know.. Gerald wallace Led the NBA In steals back in 06, And was voted "All NBA FIRST TEAM" In 2010, so you can call the National basketball Association a bunch of
"I-d-o-i-t-s". As far as matchups go, There is no force in the universe that can stop the Durants or the lebrons, or the melos of this league. But im Avery johnson and gerald wallace has to guard one of them, I wouldn't have it any other way.
And the other anonymous "Sports analyst".. or Deadbeat as I would like to call him, Is telling me that Joe johnson is an "Average Shooting guard" Well, Ill just throw some names into the mix that you can call "Average shooting guards" Shannon brown, Nick young, Michael redd, and maybe you can throw Mickael Pietrus in there. None of these guys are even in the same League as Joe johnson... He can do a little bit of everything you want at the two... Drive, shoot, pass, defend, rebound... He can handle the basketball like a point guard, yet he has the body of a big small foward.... Very few can truly shut the guy down, he just has to have a bad night.. And I never gave him too much credit, All i said was, "SOLID SHOOTING GUARD" and you had to come up with shit out of your ass to trashtalk a player that you think is "OVERPAID"... All athletes are overpaid... PLEASE READ UP ON THE GAME OF BASKETBALL, Or do us a favor just watch baseball.

Deletelmao if joe johnson was anything more than average the hawks wouldn't have lost in the first round every year they had him. and dude was right, I know wallace was a beast in 2006, so was ben wallace from the pistons. that doesn't mean there still good defenders. he made one defense team, so what he had a good year. dude is past his prime and the other guy was right. stop researchin and start watching. bc I saw wallace seriously underacheive his entire carreer, then boasted in portland about how the team would contend, only to sick it up
Deletewilliams is not even close to a pure point guard, hes a hybrid guard, who looks for his own shot. rondo and paul are pure point guards. and the nets had lopez, humpries, willaims and wallace last year and they sucked, you think joe johnson is going to make that big of a difference? lmfao
ReplyDeleteYea lopez only played n like 15 games and wallace got traded 2 nets at the deadline so he only played like 25 games wit nets and by the way he still is a pretty good defender inside or out. Williams a hybrid? Nah he not westbrook. He avg 9 assist for his career so i would say he is a pure point. He can shoot unlike rondo and he can defend unlike nash. D will can do it all as a pg just like cp3 but cp3 got clutch gene. As far knicks and nets i think both of them will b fighting for 5th place this year.
DeleteDo you even know what a pure player is? It means that you're well rounded in most aspects of youre game. D will can shoot the fuck out the ball, he doesnt turnover the ball that often, he can drive, he is an excellent defender, he has size speed and strength, and he can run the Fast break with or without the ball. Lets not forget how he.can setup teamates. Shiit... If he gets any purer than that he'll get his virginity refunded. Mother fucker says d will isnt a pure point guard, your an idiot.. I fucking hate deron, but hes probably the Most well rounded point gaurd

Delete@ montero, a pure point is pass first shoot only as a last resort. williams shoots more than his shooting guards. now that doesn't mean hes not well rounded. it just means hes not a pure pass first point guard. and to say hes a good defender is laughable. what has he ever done on defense to merit any awards. never been in the top five in steals, like other pure point guards are and have been for every season. chris pual has led the league in steals fours times, rondo has been right behind him, along with conley jr. williams has been a flop in big games. just look at his career in utah.
