My Take: Stoudemire's time over in NY?

Rumors have been swirling since the glass punch heard around the world late Monday evening after the Knicks suffered another demoralizing loss to the Miami Heat in their 1st round playoff matchup.  The only fact that is known regarding the situation is that Stoudemire will miss game 3 of the series Thursday evening.  Could Stoudemire be lost for the remainder of the playoffs, perhaps, but the bigger picture could be far worse for the former Rookie of the Year.

Stoudemire has 3 years and around $60 million left on his contract and he's become a liability as far as his health and now one must add mental stability.  The Knicks will try to move Stoudemire in the off-season as he and Anthony cannot co-exist on the court, their games don't mesh as they are missing the fluid nature of the games of Wade and James.  He has peaked as an NBA player and I fear that his game will enter a state of decline very soon and the Knicks should feel the same way.  As crazy as it sounds, the Knicks can build around Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler and losing Stoudemire could be the first step in aiding them in the rebuilding process.
