My Take: Stoudemire's time over in NY?

Rumors have been swirling since the glass punch heard around the world late Monday evening after the Knicks suffered another demoralizing loss to the Miami Heat in their 1st round playoff matchup. The only fact that is known regarding the situation is that Stoudemire will miss game 3 of the series Thursday evening. Could Stoudemire be lost for the remainder of the playoffs, perhaps, but the bigger picture could be far worse for the former Rookie of the Year.
Stoudemire has 3 years and around $60 million left on his contract and he's become a liability as far as his health and now one must add mental stability. The Knicks will try to move Stoudemire in the off-season as he and Anthony cannot co-exist on the court, their games don't mesh as they are missing the fluid nature of the games of Wade and James. He has peaked as an NBA player and I fear that his game will enter a state of decline very soon and the Knicks should feel the same way. As crazy as it sounds, the Knicks can build around Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler and losing Stoudemire could be the first step in aiding them in the rebuilding process.

Make a trade and get dwight howard and get phil jackson thats it
ReplyDeleteYe that sounds good and all but magic or anybody who trades for this dude with his max contract would b a fool. I never felt he was worth that anyway hes dont rebound and defend enough 2 b a starting pf. And if he his knees and back r bad as they say then my boy melo stuck wit this clown. Its tha knicks fault cause they throw money at anybody who wants 2 play there without taking n regard if the pieces fit or not. I think melo is great but they gave up 2 much for him and signing gunners like bd and j.r. Further fucked things up for ny.
ReplyDeleteSign n trade for Kris Humphries, marshoon brooks and gerald green, so he can team with williams n Wallace
ReplyDeleteWilliams going 2 mavs. Understand hes makin max money im talkin the same amount lebron, d wade makin! so anybody who trades for him is gonna have 2 give up superstar or a couple of really good players or mayb another over paid bum like rashard lewis or somebody.
DeleteYe if it werent fo stat ny wud be lost
