Miller keeping options open

Now that his season is over, Nuggets point guard Andre Miller will become an unrestricted free agent, the only one on the team. Miller s entering the twilight of his career and he plans on keeping his options open as continues to chase the elusive NBA title.
"I'll keep my options open," Miller said. "At this point in my career, if I'm going to be a backup, I'm going to be a backup on a championship-caliber team. Obviously, this team is a good team that's going to get to the playoffs, but the thing is if they are committed to getting to that next level to compete for that championship."

Lakers need em! They should do a sign and trade wit sessions. Hes good player but dont think he can b legit starting pg.
ReplyDeleteSessions is a legit pg for sure, he can score and pass and knows how to run an offense all he needs is a training camp this coming off season with the team that he didn't get. I'm no laker fan, in fact I'm a laker hater but I'm also a nba fan. Miller is a good pg still and he will work out great in a laker uniform, but as a back up to sessions, a sign and trade would be the most stupid move lakers would make since letting odom go for just money. Miller is 35 and sessions is 25, why let go of a pg that has promise and youth to learn and grown in a organization with a 35 year guard as back up. Miller is unrestricted lakers can give him a veteran min salary which is a little over a million which I'm sure miller knows by now that he can't get more then that.
ReplyDeleteNot sure miller that old but im watchin rite now and I c steve blake finish games because he got range. If lakers gonna keep the 7 footers sessions has 2 able 2 hit shots from anywhere because the bigs and kobe get doubled so much. Mayb he will get better but rite now im not sure he can b laker starting pg 4 the future..after kobe. I wish they could get lou williams but I know they not willin 2 spend unless a trade happens. Good debate dude!...notice people I can disagree peacefully.
DeleteLol good point. But miller is not a shooter either hes a great play caller, a good set up guy, definitely better then sessions in those category but sessions is a good scorer that can develop. Lou would be another great fit. Definitely deserves to start in this league and he would be good in the laker system, at the moment i don't think 6ers would trade him because he's a content sixth man guy there team and a great insurance policy if holiday goes down. They won't trade him unless he asked them to. this years draft is strong in the pf and sf positions and lakers would be better getting rid of gasol for a young good sg and a better draft pick to pick up a pf or sf to start teaching and make a future guy. I think we all know now that in this new age of nba you cant build around good centers. Building around sg sf and pf are at best, okc, mia,ny are proof of that. I think lakers weak point now is the sf and back up sg positions, they got two sfs in peace and Barnes coming in for kobe and even Blake switches over to sg at times. Bench definitely needs to get better, it ends with peace hill and Blake on the bench. Not a good look.
ReplyDeleteBtw miller is 36 lol
