According to sources, Knicks' team captains Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire held a late night private workout session with other members of the team. The Knicks are surely searching for an identity as they had most of it ripped out of them in Miami Saturday afternoon during game 1. The loss of Shumpert was a devastating blow and according to coach Mike Woodson, Tyson Chandler is barely hanging on due to the flu. Anthony did address the media and offered this take on his performance Saturday and what will need to be done going forward.
“I try not to play with pressure,’’ Melo said. “ I go out and play ball. As far as thinking about anything and playing with pressure, I don’t put that pressure on myself. Everybody has off shooting days. It just so happened mine came [Saturday.] Now it’s time for me to go out and play basketball and try to put the pressure back on Miami.’’
