Kemba Walker to replace D.J. Augustine

With only 16 games remaining and having a record of 7-43, Charlotte Bobcats head coach Paul Silas has decided to replace point guard D.J. Augustine with rookie Kemba Walker.  Augustine has been plagued with a sore right knee so the timing was right as Augustine had missed the last three practices with tendinitis.

“We still want to win games,’’ Silas said. “But we’ve got to find out what these kids are about. If we were going for a playoff berth, then absolutely you’d want your veteran players in there. But we’re not. So we want these guys to play, and see how they react.’’
