Celtics to waive Jermaine O'Neal

Needing another big on the roster, the Boston Celtics have agreed to terms with Sean Williams who was originally drafted in 2007 by the New Jersey Nets.  In order to clear a roster spot for Williams, the Celtics will waive forward/center Jermaine O'Neal who has been out of action for over a month with a wrist injury that ended his season.
